Celebrating Others: There’s Room for Everyone in This Industry

This week, I want to talk about something close to my heart: other people.

As artists, we’re often told how “competitive” this industry is. The narrative is that we must constantly outshine each other to succeed.

But honestly? I don’t believe that.

I truly believe there is room for everyone. And since opening my Acting Studio, I’ve been lucky to meet some absolutely wonderful people who are building supportive, inspiring spaces for fellow actors.

So today, I want to celebrate a few of them, and hopefully introduce you to new allies for your own acting journey.

1. Alexa Morden – The 98% Podcast & Acting Mentor

Alexa is a force! She runs the much-needed 98% Podcast, where she champions actors’ rights and bravely highlights misconduct in the industry.

She is a must-have voice for us actors, fierce, honest, and endlessly supportive.

If you need career advice or support preparing for auditions, Alexa is your person.

2. Joe and Daisy – Take One Stage & Screen

Joe and Daisy are a lovely couple, both actors themselves, who genuinely care about their fellow actors.

They run weekly screen acting workshops to help actors build confidence on set and learn how to navigate the world of film and TV.

They’re incredibly kind people, and their passion shows in everything they do.

3. Gabriel & Ruxandra – Film Pic Studio

Gabriel and Ruxandra have recently opened up a Self-Tape Studio with very affordable rates in South West London.

They are still finding their feet, but they're already building something special. Let’s support them as they grow this much-needed space!

4. Alastair Batchelor – Cinematic Headshot Photographer

Alastair is a very talented photographer whose work has a unique, cinematic vibe.

If you’re looking for fresh headshots that stand out, he’s your guy, and he’s genuinely lovely to work with, too.

5. Finlay Robertson – Screen Acting Coach

Finlay is not only a fantastic actor but also an incredible acting coach.

He runs 1-to-1 sessions and group screen acting classes known as The Screen Gang—and they’re as cool as they sound.

6. Nynya Angelica Martin – Actor’s Sunday

Nynya is the founder of Actor’s Sunday, a beautiful initiative that creates a safe, supportive space for actors to connect, support each other, and nurture their mental health.

These weekly meetings are such a gift to our community—helping actors feel grounded, seen, and included.

Final Thoughts

The truth is, this industry doesn’t have to be cutthroat.

When we cheer each other on and lift each other up, we all rise together.

I hope this post inspires you to reach out, connect, and support these amazing people. Because there really is enough room for all of us.

Let’s keep making this industry kinder—together. 💛

Sending massive hugs to everyone!

Natalia
