What Can We Learn From Nepo Babies?

Something I have noticed from working with, and being around, Nepo Babies is the sheer confidence they carry around with them.

And honestly… I think that is exactly what the rest of us should learn from them.

Because they have zero anxiety about the industry.

They are not constantly worrying about surviving paycheck to paycheck. They are not desperately trying to do a good job just so they can keep working as an actor. They are not carrying that heavy fear of “what if this is my last job?”

They carry themselves with calm.

And once you meet a Nepo Baby, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

That kind of confidence is so damn attractive. It’s like a magnet. You want to be around it.

And because they have that calm, they can truly allow themselves to just be themselves.

That is such a powerful thing for an actor.

Have you ever performed a scene in your bedroom and been able to hit every emotional peak with ease?

You can cry like there is no tomorrow. You feel connected. Free. Alive.

But then you get on set… and suddenly it is the Sahara Desert. Nothing. Dry. Tension. Overthinking.

The emotions disappear.

Why?

Because confidence disappeared and fear walked in.

If only we could have the same confidence and ease on set that we have at home.

Well… Nepo Babies do. Because they are not scared to mess up.

Even if they do mess up, they know they will probably get another acting job.

And if not… they’ll probably go on an exotic holiday with their rich friends.

That safety creates freedom. And freedom creates better work.

I work with a lot of actors on a regular basis, and from time to time there is somebody in the room who has that calm.

And JUST that makes them stand out so much. Before they even say a line. Before they even perform.

You feel it. People are drawn to it.

So even though your mum or dad might not be Oscar-winning actors…

Be a Nepo Baby.

Go to La La Land.

Be confident.

Be calm.

Work like you have a cushion of a million pounds waiting for you at home.

Because acting gets better when desperation leaves the room.

And confidence walks in.

Sending you a big hug,

Natalia
